According to a new report from XboxEra citing some anonymous sources, Starfield is one of the games that will launch on more platforms. This time, the space exploration RPG is rumored to be launching on PlayStation 5. According to the report, Microsoft is planning to launch the game after the release of the previously announced “Shattered Space” expansion DLC. Additionally, according to the site’s sources, Microsoft senior leadership have “reportedly debated the various pros and cons of releasing more of their exclusive software elsewhere, and internally, not everyone is necessarily happy with the decision.” Lastly, according to the sources, Hi-Fi Rush will also release on other platforms Q1 this year, and Microsoft may make an announcement about its new strategy to release more titles on other platforms sometime this month. Additionally, according to a recent The Verge report which also supports Microsoft’s multi platform initiative that will see other titles coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, the recently announced Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is also being considered for release on PlayStation 5 “some months later.” Its also claimed that the game will launch for PC and Xbox Series X/S and PC in December. It’s worth noting none of these claims have been confirmed by Microsoft.
