The show is clocking it at 30 minutes or so, give or take. Can’t wait to hear what you think! And a quick note: there won’t be PlayStation hardware or business-focused updates in this show. We’re focusing on great games set to come out in the months ahead.
This Thursday, a State of Play broadcast will serve up new updates and deep dives for 10 games coming to PS4 and PS5, including new game announcements and updates on some of the third-party and indie titles revealed in June’s PS5 showcase. Last year Sony announced the PlayStation Indies Initiative with the nine games to be released for the PlayStation ecosystem.
Shuhei Yoshida,
indie games are very important for adding depth to the PS5 and PlayStation Now catalog. We trust indie developers with strong vision will continue to bring ideas that have never been tried before, creating whole new genres of games and advancing the art and meaning of video games. PlayStation has always embraced games with completely new concepts, like PaRappa the Rapper, Katamari Damacy, LittleBigPlanet, and Journey, and we look forward to seeing what surprising new ideas will come next!
Fans can expect to learn more from upcoming indie titles like Recompile, Maquette, F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch, Heavenly Bodies.
State of Play will go live on February 25 at 2:00pm Pacific Time / 5:00pm Eastern Time / 10:00pm GMT on Twitch and YouTube. You can expect to read all the announcements of the event on Gaming Instincts.
