Ubisoft has announced that the Steep open beta will begin on November 18th and last until November 21st. However there is the opportunity to get into an early access beta which will last from November 10th until November 14th. The beta will be available on PS4, PC, and Xbox One with three of the game’s seven regions open to explore via skiing, snowboarding, wingsuiting and paragliding.
The beta gives players access to three of the game’s seven regions, letting you freely explore the game’s Alp, Aravis, the Tyrol and the Needles-inspired peaks, completing challenges and finding that perfect run.
“Riders can traverse the Alps solo or drop in side-by-side with friends to record and share the most insane tricks ever captured on the slopes,” says the official blurb. “Designed for a generation that’s all about sharing their experiences with the world, Steep encourages players to challenge their friends to see who truly comes out on top of the world.”
Steep releases on December 2.
“Both phases will include access to various challenges and nine of the game’s Mountain Stories (story-driven challenges) spread across three of the seven areas that will be featured in the final release, including Aravis, Tyrol, and Needles. Successfully completing challenges and Mountain Stories unlocks new gear that players can use to customize their thrill-seekers. Additionally, players will get to share their best lines with other Beta participants and have the option to experience every run in the first-person perspective with the GoPro View mode.”
