Steve’s Winning Screen on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is Awkwardly Funny

Nintendo recently announced the inclusion of Minecraft’s Steve to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, the development team either crunched a bit too much or they pushed the boundaries of a joke way too far, Steve’s winning screen is hilarious.

Twitter user Nintendeal share the winning image for Steve on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, certainly, older audiences might have spotted something that seems out of place, take a look down below:

Clearly, there is nothing wrong with the representation of Steve, or its cooked mutton, perhaps is the character’s lack of hands that show the food in an awkward place. It’s important to mention that not Mojang Studios, nor Nintendo is having any kind of backlash from parents, for the time being, the internet is just having fun with the unfortunate angle of the image.

Minecraft’s Steve is the latest character to be included in the expanding roster of classic fighters of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, players can swap Steve out in the fight for Alex, Enderman, or Zombie. Nintendo also confirms a digital event to share the release date of Steve and some of his key skills.

Adding Steve was not an easy task for developers, this was hinted at by Sakurai who reveals that a lot of planning was needed to implement the character into the game while retaining his unique traits and abilities from Minecraft.

In a recent in-depth look, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director, Masahiro Sakurai presented Steve & Alex and explained the challenges to introduce the characters and make them feel natural to the fast-paced action of the fighting game.

In recent news, Nintendo confirmed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass 2 will feature six new fighters, Steve will be available as a standalone purchase for 6 USD in the Challenger Pack 7. The bundle of all fighters is being sold for 30 USD.
