Earlier this week Marvelous revealed that a Japanese region remake of the Game Boy Advance title, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, was headed to the Switch. Along with an announcement trailer which came later, Marvelous also confirmed that the west will be receiving the remake after the Japanese launch.
Check out the new trailer for Story of Seasons: Reunion in Mineral Town below:
The upcoming remake will not only consist of the original Friends of Mineral Town, but also the More Friends of Mineral Town which allowed players to take on the role of a female protagonist. This probably just means that players will be able to choose a male or female protagonist when booting up the remake.
Check out the short description from Marvelous Interactive of the upcoming remake below:
“Story of Seasons: Reunion in Mineral Town is set in Mineral Town, where all sorts of unique people live. In order for the farm you once visited as a child to thrive again, a farm life full of spontaneity is about to begin. Grow vegetables and crops, tend to animals, fall in love with and marry one of the town’s residents, and enjoy life to the fullest in this heartwarming life game.”
Story of Seasons: Reunion in Mineral Town is set to release in Japan for the Switch on October 17, 2019. While there’s no official release date set for the western release, it has been confirmed to launch sometime after the Japanese release date.
