I think it’s safe to call Street Fighter V as Capcom’s most popular fighting game over the current generation and past years, regarding its massive community and long-lasting support. While Capcom doesn’t really like to talk about a new entry for the series, it still continues the strong post-launch support of the game with rich content packs and more characters being added to it. Fortunately, the support is still on and the next content –included updates are about to arrive later this year.
Announced by Yoshinori Ono, executive producer behind Street Fighter V, there will be two content drops in November and December, which probably include new characters as well. Ono said (translated to English by Event Hubs):
You wanna see new characters, right? You want new content too, I’m sure that’s what you’re all thinking. Well, about that, we’re going to have new information to present to you in regards to that at the Capcom Cup North American Finals in November, and at Capcom Cup in December, so if you could please just stay patient until then.
The two events that Ono mentioned, both are going to be held at middle of the months. Capcom Cup North America is kicking-off on November 16 and ending the day after that, while Capcom Cup will be happening from December 13th to December 15th. It’s expected the upcoming characters being added to the game right after their announcement, similar to what happened at EVO 2019.
Street Fighter V is currently available for PlayStation 4 and PC. No Switch or Xbox One version has been considered for the game up until now.
