Streets of Rage, one of the SEGA’s exclusive franchises for its own console over 20 years ago, is now getting a new entry on the edge of 9th generation of consoles. Streets of Rage 4 originally announced in August 2018 and while we haven’t heard from the developers anything about being at E3 2019, a new gameplay footage has been shared from the anticipated action game, though it’s off-screen.
Thanks to a YouTuber who has got his hands on the demo for Streets of Rage for at Bitsummit 2019, we are now able to see 10 minutes of fresh gameplay from the game. Although it’s off-screen, but the quality is satisfying enough to see what’s happening in the game and have a glimpse on its old-school mechanics reminding us of our memories from decades ago.
Streets of Rage 4 hasn’t got any specific release date nor target platforms yet, but if the development team decides to take part at E3 2019, we will definitely see the official gameplay trailer along with at least a release window and determined platforms for it. New installment of the long-running series is being developed by Lizardcube with DotEmu taking the baton for publishing task.
