Nintendo Switch: Super Mario Odyssey Releasing on Holidays 2017

Nintendo has just announced Super Mario Odyssey, it will be an open world 3D adventure that will take Mario outside Mushroom Kingdom to locations alike the real world. Although footage from the trailer shows Mario in different locations, some more classical than a realistic city.

The game is planned for a holiday season launch. The game was described as “a large Mario sandbox world… for you to run around in” in the style of games like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.

A brief gameplay trailer was unveiled during the Nintendo Switch Presentation, we could see Mario running down a detailed city street, jumping over yellow taxi cabs that are familiar to the real world.

Also Mario’s cap will also play an expanded role in Super Mario Odyssey, it’s seems to have his own personality with expressive eyes. Mario can throw the cap like a boomerang for an attack on nearby enemies.
