Super Mario Run Announced for Mobile

Super Mario Run is a simple mobile game will allow for players to control Mario’s jumping as the plumber runs through his classic side scrolling levels. With a simple tap, you can have Mario jump over obstacles and enemies while collecting coins and power ups.

“We have created Super Mario Run to be perfect for playing on your iPhone,” said Mr. Miyamoto. “Super Mario has evolved whenever he has encountered a new platform, and for the first time ever, players will be able to enjoy a full-fledged Super Mario game with just one hand.

Super Mario Run will come to Apple iOS devices in 100 countries in December 2016. It will be a paid game, though a price has yet to be announced, but people will be able to play through a portion of the game for free before buying it. Super Mario-themed stickers will also be present as iMessage options when iOS 10 launches this month.

Check out the Trailer:

“In the game, players navigate traditional 2D Mario levels in an attempt to collect as many coins as possible in a set amount of time, before reaching the flagpole at the end of the level. Tapping makes the auto-running Mario jump, and the entire game can be played with one hand. Super Mario Run has multiple worlds and levels. Six worlds could be seen on the demo screen.”
