The team behind the Super Meta Boy series, Team Meat, has announced that due to not sacrificing their mental and physical health they will not be able to meet the expected April release date for their sequel Super Meat Boy Forever.
In a tweet form the studio, the team expressed how they could very well arrive for the previously announced April release date, but would need to sacrifice their “minds, bodies and social lives” but decided that method was ultimately “stupid”.

Super Meat Boy Forever picks up where the original speed-running side-scroller left off and is sure to bring back the tough as nails challenge the series is known for. While we won’t be seeing the new Meat Boy title this month, they did specify that release is officially set for “After but not too far after April 2019”. Now that’s a release window.
They also detailed that the next trailer for the game will have the official release date set in place. Super Meat Boy Forever is expected to release on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
