Sweet Baby Dev Claims They Want to “Burn the Games Industry To The Ground”

A presentation from Sweet Baby Inc narrative designer Camerin Wild has begun surfacing online. The presentation, which was posted over a year ago on the Game Devs of Color Expo features a slide which reads that one of their goals is “burning the games industry to the ground”. The presentation features Wild’s opinions on how to “subvert genre expectations” and highlights their several opinions on what genres should and should not do.

In a surfaced tweet in April, Compulsion Games community manager Katie Robinson (aka PikaChulita on Twitch) stated that she “hates gamers”. The tweet was resurfaced by Twitter user ScreamerRSA and former World of Warcraft Team Lead Mark Kern who criticized her comments on the internet and her company’s association with the highly contentious company Sweet Baby Inc. She also notably stated that Asians are “white adjacent” in another previous tweet. The initial tweet was notably made on February 14, after Robinson made her public announcement that she had joined Compulsion Games as their community manager in September 2023.Prior to being employed at Compulsion Games, she infamously admitted to saying that ‘White male gamers were a mistake,” in a previous interview with Refinery 29. “You’re not going to tickle some people’s fancy being outspoken or tweeting things like I do when I say, ‘White male gamers were a mistake.’” She said.
