Four years after Tales of Berseria, a new title in Tales series is going to hit current-gen platforms next year and according to its producer, as the name for Tales of Arise implies, the game will be a new rise for the franchise, especially in story-telling.
Revealed on a new blogpost, the first step for making Tales of Arise a new sunshine of the series at the ending months of the current generation of consoles is to generate a new world along with a brand new story that could catch the attention of as much audience as it can, no matter they are a big fan of series or just heard of it at this year’s E3.
Yusuke Tomizawa believes that starting out again and building a brand new structure for the series in terms of story is what the development team needs in Tales of Arise to reach its determined goals. However, the producer didn’t reveal anything on gameplay and whether it will receive a big overhaul compared to the previous titles.
Tales of Arise follows the story of Alphen and Shionne from two different planets that team-up against the enemies that are terrorizing Dahna, homeland of the game’s half-face-hidden protagonist, Alphen. Being developed as an action RPG, Tales of Arise will feature epic battles against monstrous creatures and a mesmerizing story with dramatic scenes lied in between.
Tales of Arise will be hitting PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2020. Here you can take a look at its latest trailer if you’ve missed it:
