Team Ninja To Announce Several Projects in 2021

Fumihiko Yasuda affirmed that Team Ninja has plenty of surprises to reveal in the next 12 months. The statement was revealed in an interview with the Japanese outlet 4 Gamer and translated by Games Radar.

“We are preparing several new Team Ninja title announcements in 2021,” said Yasuda according to Games Radar.

Yasuda did not reveal any further details, but one of the projects of Team Ninja is the recently announced Nioh Collection which is coming to PC via Steam on February 2021. The executive may have been cautious about the announcement of future projects as the COVID-19 still represents a huge challenge for the video games industry, right now Yasuda can only tease that there is a lot to be hyped for Team Ninja’s fans.

Koei Tecmo, the parent company of Team Ninja also announced multiples announcements to be made in the following months. The developer affirms that some of the games to be announced will have fans saying: “finally!”.

It’s expected that Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja is producing a new game of Ninja Gaiden, either the fourth installment of the franchise or a soft reboot or remake.

Interestingly, Koei Tecmo filed a trademark on December 3 with WIPO for “consumer video game programs,” for Ninja Gaiden, the company also mentions ancient media platforms like “CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, magnetic tapes, magnetic cards,” and “magnetic disks.”

It’s rumored that Team Ninja is working on Ninja Gaiden Sigma Trilogy Remaster, the collection will launch for PS4 and Nintendo Switch including the first three Ninja Gaiden games from the Xbox era featuring all the DLC for each game. If rumors are to be believed, the collection will launch in March of 2021.

Known for the solid leadership of Tomonobu Itagaki and Yosuke Hayashi, Team Ninja has produced the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive franchises, the studio is a division of Koei Tecmo.
