Techland Promises more Dying Light 2 Information Soon

According to Techland, more information about Dying Light 2 will be revealed in early 2021. The game was delayed in January 2020 and ever since the development team has been working without giving any updates.

Interestingly, the announcement was made via the game’s official Discord channel, the development team posted a Christmas Eve message telling fans that more information about the delayed game will be disclosed soon.

The post included a screenshot that features a character standing on a statue while wearing a Santa Claus outfit.

Dying Light 2 was announced way back in 2018, however, the development team had to announce in early 2020 that the development of the game wasn’t going according to the plans. Certainly, this information was shared by Techland before the COVID-19 outbreak around the world. It’s expected that the nasty virus could’ve caused more complications for the developers.

After the recent message from the developers, fans can be sure that despite all the inconveniences caused by COVID-19, the development of Dying Light 2 has not stopped, and it’s only a matter of time before the game launches.

It’s also debated on social media if Dying Light will end up being a PC and next-gen exclusive title. After seeing the debacle of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox One it would be in Techland’s best interest to release the game without performances issues any kind of issues.

An exclusive launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 could also see the game taking the best from newer graphical technologies like ray-tracing.

Dying Light 2’s story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, 15 years after the events of Dying Light. It’s confirmed by Techland that players will be able to make “impactful choices”. Some decisions have a much bigger influence that affects the whole world of the game, like the final choice of the player that leads to the revival of a new form of zombies in a new region of the city.

Players take the role of Aiden Caldwell one of the survivalists living within one of the seven regions of the city. The mission starts with Aiden getting informed about the water pumps have been turned off by Colonel. A leader who controls an island near to the city with a bad reputation which means asking him to turn on the pumps doesn’t end in peace.
