Tekken 7 Definitive Edition Announced

If you haven’t kept up on all the characters that have been added to Tekken 7 all four seasons of DLC, and are looking to jump into the game with everything, Tekken 7 Definitive Edition promises to do just that. A digital-only release, the edition offers everything that has been released to the game thus far, all in one nice package.

The biggest portion of season passes have been the characters, and Tekken 7 has thus far sported an eclectic roster. This has included the re-introduction of characters from across the franchise but also cross-overs such as Noctis from Final Fantasy XV and Negan from The Walking Dead. As well as new characters, each season pass has added a stage and character customizations. Season 1 also saw the return of the popular mode Tekken Bowling, though its lack of online play made its inclusion a lackluster affair.

For fans looking to get started but don’t need all the DLC, Tekken 7 Originals Edition will feature the full game with 12 characters from across the 4 seasons to play as. Included in this mode will also be the rumored Frame Rate Data Feature that Namco Bandai Had Patented earlier this year. This will allow players looking to take their game to the next level by analyzing the frame data of moves and combos so players can better string move sets.

Tekken 7 was released in 2015 and has continued to maintain popularity in the fight game circles, continually appearing at EVO and using the event for several new announcements through the years. While rumors have persisted that the Frame Data feature was patented for the next entry in the series, the team behind it has not ruled out the possibility of a season 5 in the future.
