During Gamescom Opening Night Live, Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada appeared on stage to debut the first trailer for the newly revealed Tekken 8 story mode. The trailer also revealed that the upcoming fighting game will have 32 characters in its roster at launch, and will launch on January 26 2024. A new single player mode called Arcade Quest was also revealed. It will have players create, customize, and play as their own avatars in a new story mode centered around classic arcades. Tekken 8 will launch on January 26 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
