Telltale’s Batman launches August for download, September on disc

The game was supposed to be due this end of July but Warner Bros. announced that it had to be delayed. Expert game enthusiasts are speculating that the new release date would be sometime in September or November.

It’s the first time Warner has published a Telltale game – and this agreement also covers The Walking Dead’s upcoming third season, due later this year.

Batman will also launch on a Season Pass disc for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on 16th September. This contains the first five episodes, with the remaining four then available for download.

“Batman – The Telltale Series is an episodic game series licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and based on DC’s iconic character. Rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, Telltale’s vision of Batman will feature an award-winning cast of talent, including Troy Baker in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone, and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle. Additional cast and characters will be revealed as the season progresses.”
