Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 3 Images and Details Revealed

It returns later this year for a third season and, as promised, the developer was on hand during the ongoing San Diego Comic-Con to unveil new details for TWD season 3 and, unsurprisingly, they’re riddled with spoilers if you’ve yet to play through the entirety of season 2.

It was once again confirmed that in season 3, we’ll be playing as both Clementine and newcomer Javier – though that doesn’t mean that we’ll be playing as both of them within the same period of time. While Javier is a totally new character, they stated how we may have already helped shape his character with our decisions in the past two seasons.

They also reiterated that this season won’t alienate new players that didn’t get a chance to play seasons 1 and 2 of the game. Newcomers will still get a chance to learn about Clementine’s backstory throughout this new season. And we’re also getting the inclusion of a character many of us have been wondering about: Rebecca’s son, AJ.

There is no release date set yet for The Walking Dead Season 3, but it should arrive some time soon.

Check out the Screenshots:

“Lenart also discussed the importance of playing as Javier, and how the team was able to create a character without any prior relationship with Clementine. This will provide an interesting opportunity for players to meet a character they may have helped shape. They’ll also have a chance to play as a survivor fresh to the series, who is currently struggling to keep his family together in the face of the undead apocalypse.”
