Tencent to Bring Paladins to China

It was announced today by Tencent Holdings Limited, the leading games publisher worldwide, and Hi-Rez Studios, a leading provider of competitive online games, a strategic relationship to bring the team based shooter Paladins to Chinese gamers.

As part of the announcement to expose Paladins to Chinese players, Tencent announced a series of activities that will be held to distinguish the best Paladins players in China. The top Chinese Paladins team will fly to Atlanta, GA to compete with players from around the world in the first ever Paladins Invitational Tournament at Hi-Rez Expo on January 5-8, 2017.

Paladins has been developed to support competitive play including features already in the Beta client around strong cheat detection, a competitive ranked queue, and a robust spectator client. Paladins has several thriving competitive teams already and the combination of shooter mechanics with creative card loadouts and in-match item builds creates a unique competitive environment.
