The Best from The Game Awards 2020

The Game Awards 2020 awarded the very best from the video games industry. Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II dominated the event with seven awards.

The event was a very special one, full of celebrities and developers who shared exciting news and surprises. Let’s take a look at all the announcements and reveals made during the ceremony:

Perfect Dark

The Initiative confirmed all the rumors, they are working on a new Perfect Dark, the game is currently at an early stage of development, but the cinematic trailer and has given us enough to get us and fans excited about the game.

It’s rumored that the game will be a third-person stealth shooter planned to release on episodic chapters.

Mass Effect

One of the biggest surprises of the event was BioWare’s next chapter in the Mass Effect franchise. The studio recently announced that a veteran team of developers at BioWare is working hard on the next chapter of the Mass Effect Universe. 

After the disappointing Mass Effect Andromeda, fans are expecting much more from BioWare, and from the first look, it seems that the studio might be producing a very special game.

Dragon Age

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening was the teaser trailer of the new Dragon Age. BioWare seems destined to return in the right direction, and be once again one of the best development studios in the world.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate x Final Fantasy VII

The one-winged angel descends into the fight, the cinematic trailer features several references to Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

Evil West

Flying wild Hog’s new game is Evil West. From the world premiere trailer, it seems that i’s a combination of Van Helsing and Red Dead Redemption. Evil West is set for release sometime in 2021.

Back 4 Blood

Developer Turtlerock Studios’ Back 4 Blood, is the spiritual successor of the Left 4 Dead series. Like the previous franchise, the game sees a group of survivors facing off against hordes of zombie-like creatures.

Ark 2

Ark 2 has been announced with a cinematic trailer featuring Vin Diesel as he fights off against a band of evil creatures and a dinosaur.

It Takes Two

From the developer behind A Way Out, a brand new game will tell us more about co-operation.

Players will take the role of two characters who have to learn how to work together if in order to survive all the dangers that will inevitably come their way.

The platform adventure game is set for release on the 26th of March 2021.

The Callisto Protocol

Striking Distance revealed their new space horror game, The Callisto Protocol. The project is being led by Glen Schofield, who worked on Dead Space.
