Developer Fntastic and publisher MyTona’s highly controversial and hated multiplayer shooter The Day Before has officially shut down. This follows the shut down of the developer and the release of refunds to all players by the publisher and Steam. This means not only can players no longer log in to play, the game also can no longer be downloaded from Steam. The publisher recently announced that “Fntastic received $0 and will receive nothing from The Day Before sales.” The developer also announced that it has shut down just a week after the game’s launch because the game “failed financially” and the studio “lack the funds to continue.” The Day Before launched in Early Access on December 7 for PC via Steam. The title had mostly negative reviews with an overwhelmingly negative rating on Steam.
The game’s details via the developer:
The Day Before is an open-world massively multiplayer online survival set in a deadly, post-pandemic America overrun by flesh-hungry infected and survivors killing each other for food, weapons, and cars. You wake up alone in a world you no longer remember, setting out to find answers and the resources to survive.
