During the recent Creator’s interview, Hidetaka Miyazaki revealed that the upcoming FromSoftware multiplayer title The Duskbloods will have twelve playable characters with different abilities and weapons. Each character will have their own identity and appearance and some will be able to attack with ranged attacks. Additionally, these characters can also be customizable to some extent. Lastly, players are given roles that determine their goals in each match. This includes roles to seek out either rivals and defeat them or companions to group with.
“The Bloodsworn possess superhuman abilities thanks to special blood, so their actions are more dramatic than anything seen in our previous titles,” said Miyazaki. “Even basic character actions in this game, such as sprinting, super jump, and double jump, are designed to be dynamic and stress-free and are complemented by each character’s unique weapons and abilities, allowing for a wide range of creativity.
I think there are a lot of unique elements to the character designs and the weapons they use, so hopefully, players can find one or two favorites among them.
“In online play, roles give players special responsibilities and objectives that often lead to unique interactions and relationships between players based on their corresponding roles.”
The game’s details:
Developed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2; ‘THE DUSKBLOODS’ is a PvPvE title with online multiplayer at its core, where up to 8 players vie for supremacy among themselves and against challenging foes. Play as the “Bloodsworn”; a group that has transcended human strength thanks to their special blood, and throw yourself into a violent fray for “First Blood” as the twilight of humanity approaches.
The moontears will flow for one and one alone in The Duskbloods, a brand-new multiplayer title from the creators of Dark Souls and Elden Ring, FromSoftware. Available exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, The Duskbloods launches next year.
