Just like previous years, gaming industry once again is going to hold its biggest event at Los Angeles and all the great publishers and developers will gather around to boast their upcoming projects and run an exciting competition in bombarding fans with blast after blast. Although Sony and EA will be skipping the upcoming event, it would never weaken the show, as other companies have confirmed their attendance at E3 2019 and besides, we have to welcome some newcomers like The E3 VR Showcase that’s going to be held for the first time at E3.
If you rewind the time and take a look at all E3 events so far, you may notice that we have never seen a show to fully focus on VR games but its going to happen this year with UploadVR’s The E3 VR Showcase that will be streamed on June 10th. According to the producer website, the show is a pre-recorded video like Nintendo Direct or Sony’s State of Play that features gameplay trailers from upcoming VR games and also some short interviews with famous developers for VR platforms. The show is also assumed to present some of the Kinda Funny’s members as the trailer below implies:
Right now, main VR platform owners are Sony, Oculus and HTC, with Valve joining them in the near future with its Valve Index VR headset. While Sony won’t appear at E3 2019, its probable to see some of PSVR titles within The E3 VR Showcase. The show will be streamed at 12 PM EST on June 10th. Here you can read UploadVR’s Senior Editor’s statement on the presentation, Jamie Feltham says:
E3 is one of the most exciting times of the year for gamers, but we don’t feel VR has gotten its due at past shows. The E3 VR Showcase is a much-needed chance to show everyone the amazing work VR developers are carrying out across the globe and give those studios some vital exposure.
