According to YouTuber and The Infinite Podcast host ‘Middleagegamegy’ as spotted by The Loadout, the heavily rumored Gears of War Collection is currently being developed on the Unreal Engine 5, and is now being internally tested. While additional details about the collection have yet to be revealed, the creator states that “I just know it is currently being internally tested, the build is finished, [and] they’re playing it now.” The collection is also rumored to be developed by The Coalition, but the developer and publisher have yet to confirm these claims. The latest mainline entry in the series, Gears 5, launched on September 10, 2019 for Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and iOS.
