The Last of Us Part 2 was revealed back in 2016 and while everybody expected to play it till 2019, the game still has no exact release date or window. Sony always use to reveal it’s exclusive so earlier than it’s release and this time, the policy seems to cause some troubles for the company, as they have four big titles that are promised to land on PS4 but none of them has done with the development process yet and with Sony skipping E3 2019, fans are getting more angry on the policy.
Aside from Hideo Kojima’s mysterious tweets on Death Stranding and Sucker Punch’s long-lasting silence on Ghost of Tsushima, Naughty Dog has come to talk about the next time that they are going to unveil new details on The Last of Us Part 2, and the time is when the developer gets ready. Arne Meyer, communication director at Naughty Dog said:
Can’t say much, but we’ll put new things out when it and we are ready. Appreciate you and all of our fans’ patience!
Meyer’s answer definitely doesn’t hint us to anything useful, just encouraging fans to wait more and expect an unexpected reveal from the publisher and developer.
Last we saw a trailer of The Last of Us Part 2 was during E3 2018 that Sony showcased a bit of gameplay demo to the fans, while we didn’t see or hear anything about Joel again.
What do you think about release date of TLOU 2? Is it coming this year or we have to wait till 2020?
