Project Resistance Trailer, Gameplay Details
Capcom has officially revealed the next installment in the Resident Evil series, Project Resistance. The new trailer gives viewers a good look at gameplay in the new title which will be a 4-player co-op versus 1-player experience. Project Resistance seems like yet another altering course for the long-running survival horror series, and looks to pit numerous iconic enemies against a team of co-op partners in a fierce 4 versus 1 multiplayer experience.
The Last of Us Part II Media Event Announced
Sony and Video Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley have announced a new Last of Us Part II event incoming later this month. The new event will be dedicated to Naughty Dog’s upcoming anticipated sequel, which many of us are now awaiting an official release date. We’ve seen plenty of rumors and speculation as to when we will see The Last of Us Part II, but we’re hoping we’ll know for certain once the Media Event airs on September 24, 2019.
NeoGeo Arcade Stick Pro Details
SNK revealed official details for the recently unveiled NeoGeo Arcade Stick Pro. The new hardware surprisingly acts as both a fight stick for the NeoGeo Arcade mini cabinets as well as its own retro console packed with 20 pre-loaded classic fighting titles. As of yet, there is no official release date for the Arcade Stick Pro, but we should be hearing more on the new hardware soon.
Apple Arcade Launches Next Week
Apple revealed that their game streaming service, Apple Arcade, will release next week on September 19, 2019. Right now there are currently over 100 titles set to release on the new streaming service and will run users at a low cost of $4.99 a month. Additionally, there will be a one month free trial for those who wish to simply try the service out ahead committing for the full priced service. Stay tuned, as there are sure to be tons of additional titles releasing on the service as time goes on.
OtherSide Entertainment revealed a new teaser trailer for their upcoming anticipated sequel, System Shock 3. The teaser trailer gives viewers a good look at the gameplay for new title which is currently in its pre-alpha stage. Along with System Shock 3 from OtherSider Entertainment, Nightdive Studios is also busy with new System Shock titles, such as an enhanced edition of System Shock 2 and a remake of the original System Shock title. As of now, there are no current release dates set for any of the upcoming System Shock titles, but we should be seeing some news on at least one of them soon.
Nintendo Announces Ring Fit Adventure
Last week Nintendo teased a new experience heading to the Switch with a teaser trailer showing off new peripherals and what seemed to be a new fitness game for the Switch. Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed the new experience to be Ring Fit Adventure which combines an adventure game with a fitness style of gameplay. The new fitness adventure game will release with the Ring-Con controller and Leg Strap accessories bundle on October 18, 2019.
Capcom Reveals Release Date for Iceborne’s Rajang Update
With last week’s release of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, Capcom has officially revealed the release date of the first major update for the expansion. The new update will bring over a favorited monster to the series, Rajang. Capcom announced that the new free update will release on the PS4 and Xbox One version of Iceborne on October 10, 2019. Iceborne is set to release in January 2020 for the PC.
New Gameplay Footage of Final Fantasy VII Remake Revealed
Some new exciting gameplay footage for Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake has been shown off earlier this week during the Tokyo Game Show. While we received a brand new trailer as well earlier this week, the new gameplay footage gives viewers a healthy dose of what to expect from the anticipated remake. The first episode in the multi-part release of Final Fantasy VII Remake will release on the PS4 on March 3, 2020.
Death Stranding Multiplayer Gameplay Reveal
During this year’s Tokyo Game Show, acclaimed developer Hideo Kojima revealed an extensive look at his upcoming PS4 title, Death Stranding. While players were treated with almost 50 minutes of on-screen gameplay footage, one of the more revealing bits was a first look at the game’s multiplayer portion. The multiplayer in the game works similar to that of Dark Souls where other players may leave messages communicating with one another throughout the world. Death Stranding is set to release on November 8, 2019 for the PS4.
