Sid Shuman, Senior Director of Content Communications at Sony Interactive Entertainment announced today that a new episode of State of Play will be live on Wednesday, May 27 at 1:00pm Pacific Time / 4:00pm Eastern Time on YouTube and Twitch.
In the new State of Play, Naughty Dog Vice President and the Game’s Director Neil Druckmann will reveal a new episode of the Inside video series for The Last of Us Part II, Druckmann will offer more details about the gameplay experience and story ahead of the game’s launch on June 19.
In the announcement, Shuman says that the next episode of State of Play will last over 20 minutes, and will end with an extended cinematic sequence showing around eight minutes of “never-before-seen gameplay”. He also confirms that fans should not expect anything related to the PlayStation 5, as the stream will be only about the world of The Last of Us Part II.
Inside The Last of Us Part II is a series of episodic showcases that showcases a closer look at the game. In the previous episode of Inside The Last of Us Part II, developers revealed more about the story of Ellie and Joel in Jackson.
The Summer Game Fest Website had eliminated May in their schedule of events, suggesting that no more events will be taking place this month. State of Play is now included in a new May schedule in the Summer Game Fest website, confirming PlayStation support to the new event organized by Geoff Keighley.
The next episode of Inside The Last of Us Part Two is titled ‘Inside the World’ and will go live on June 3. As the name implies, is expected an in depth look on how players will be able to interact with the dystopian scene of the story.
