According to a recent report from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, the next mainline Battlefield is targeting an October 2025 release window and will take a “back to its roots approach”. According to the report, it will have 64-player matches, the four-class system, and improved destruction systems. It will also be set somewhere between 2025 to 2030, and will have “a strong story-driven emphasis on modern technology used in war.” Lastly, the report claims that developer Ripple Effect is working on a new free-to-play Battle Royale title that’s meant to be similar to Call of Duty: Warzone. Its worth noting none of these claims have been confirmed by Electronic Arts.
