According to a new report from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, the next Doom title will be set in the Dark Ages and is titled Doom: The Dark Ages. The title is reportedly going to be set in a ‘medieval inspired doom world’ and has been in development for ‘at least four years’. These details hint that the next Doom game won’t have a modern or futuristic setting like previous titles and will instead be set in the past. Lastly, the title will reportedly be revealed during the upcoming Xbox Showcase event set to take place on June 9. It’s worth noting this new report corroborates Tom Warren’s past comment that suggested the game would be revealed at the upcoming event.
