It was almost a week ago that we shared some new details on Overwatch’s new hero, which is requiring more of hard work and will be coming a bit later than what was expected. While Jeff Kaplan, game director at Blizzard, didn’t reveal any information on the character itself, the first image of the 31st hero gone viral recently, thanks to the Mexican team in Overwatch World Cup.
According to some screenshots that were shared by Mexican Overwatch team in order to provide more explanation on Overwatch’s newly announced Role Queue feature, Sigma will be the next hero in the game. While these shots were not supposed to be revealed for all, the Mexican team, intentionally or unintentionally, uploaded them on internet. Thanks to Hero Comparison column within the shot, we spotted a new hero called Sigma, which we haven’t seen in Overwatch so far.
Sigma is a Greek letter and gets used in math frequently, which somehow make the recent tweet from Overwatch account related to the name of the new hero. The tweet features some math icons, though Sigma wasn’t between the letters.

Any additional information on the hero 31 is yet to be known, however, this leak might make Blizzard to unveil Sigma earlier than what they’ve planned.
