According to a recent post spotted on Reddit by prominent Korean leaker @For_Ataraxia whose known for several Samsung leaks, the the upcoming successor to the Nintendo Switch currently has a codename of “Super Nintendo Play” Additionally, the console allegedly has a “Super Famicom/PAL SNES button structure.” It will also allegedly be another hybrid console but will not have a Switch-like dock. Lastly, the leaker also claims that the console like the Switch will use cartridges. It’s worth noting that despite being a prominent leaker, they do not provide any backing to their claims, and are not known for console leaks. As such, these claims should be taken with a grain of salt. A patent for a Nintendo console recently surfaced online. The patent may indicate Nintendo’s future console plans but it may also just be one of the company’s scrapped ideas. According to several anonymous sources from VGC and Eurogamer, who have “knowledge of Nintendo’s next-gen console”, Nintendo’s next console will launch in the second half of 2024. According to several rumors the next console will have an 8-inch LCD screen at launch.
