According to Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb, Sony will host a State of Play event in “12ish” days from September 12, which was when he made the statement. He also repeated the claim and clarified that it is “almost certainly happening on the 24th” on a recent episode of the Game Mess Mornings podcast. In the podcast, Grubb also said that a new PlayStation remaster is in development that is “even less exciting” than Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, and he expects it to be announced at the upcoming event. These claims have yet to be confirmed by Sony.
