The Next Yakuza Game is Seemingly a Mobile Game

As spotted by Twitter user Knoebel, the official Chinese Facebook page for Ryu Ga Gotoku’s upcoming Yakuza title seems to have gone live early revealing the game’s details. According to the post, the upcoming title is called Yakuza Wars and will be a mobile game that allows players to control several characters across the Yakuza/ Like a Dragon franchise.

“Sega’s first officially authorized Like a Dragon mobile game is a new classic gangster-themed masterpiece for mobile phones, creating innovative strategic war gameplay,” a translated brief description on the page reads. “Here, you can fight side by side with classic characters such as Kiryu Kazuma, Kasuga Ichiban, and Majima Goro, and write your own legendary story in the underworld world.”

Ryu Ga Gotoku announced earlier this year that it will announce it’s next game at Tokyo Game Show. Tokyo Game Show 2024 will run from September 26 to 29 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The latest title in the series, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth launched January 26 worldwide for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
