‘The Passage’ DLC for Anno 1800 Now Available Alongside Free Week

‘The Passage’ DLC is now available for Anno 1800, and fans of Ubisoft’s city-building real-time strategy game can also play for free December 11-18.

‘The Passage’ DLC is available as a standalone purchase as well as in the Season Pass. “Players can seek out new resources and opportunities in the frigid northern lands.” In addition, a free update released with the DLC adds a co-op mode, which supports up to four factions and 16 players, as well as an in-depth statistics system to assist players with viewing their empire’s economic standing.

Fans who participate in the free-to-play week will have access to “population tiers 1-3″ and can download the game through Uplay and the Epic Games Store.

Moreover, a new game mechanics debuts in Anno 1800 with ‘The Passage’ DLC. Players will have to utilize the new heating mechanic when planning their city’s layout to ensure their citizens do not freeze. Furthermore, players can now trade over the air with the construction of airships to traverse (or rather, avoid) the frigid terrain’s icebergs.

‘The Passage’ also implements two new citizen tiers, seven population chains, 32 new buildings, 60 new quests, 80 new items, and more.

Holiday items are also available through the Holiday Pack, which includes cosmetic ornaments, “including a festive carousel, Christmas trees, and snowmen.”

‘The Passage’ is the final bit of Season Pass content for Anno 1800, but Ubisoft promises continued post-launch support, “with new content and features in the works to expand the world of the Industrial Revolution next year.”

Anno 1800 was released on April 16, 2019 for PC. It is the seventh game in the Anno series and returns the franchise to a historical setting rather than a futuristic one (Anno 2070 and Anno 2205).
