The Surge 2 Receives First DLC

The Surge 2,

the action-RPG and sequel to 2017’s The Surge developed by Deck13 and published by Focus Home Interactive, has received its first DLC: The Public Enemy Weapon Pack.

The Public Enemy Weapon Pack contains eight types of 13 weapons. Owners of The Surge 2 Season Pass will automatically be given access to the DLC as part of the Season Pass offer. The DLC is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

To acquire the weapons like the Strongarm Twinblade sword or the Codename: Zarathrusta punching gloves, players must “delve into the most inhospitable places of Jericho City in search of the one-time ‘citizens’ who wield them. All that remains is to take what’s yours from their bodies.”

In addition, December will release “full sets of cutting-edge gears for [players’] exo-rig… as part of the Season Pass.”

“The Kraken DLC” is scheduled to release in January 2020, which Season Pass owners will also automatically receive. “The Kraken DLC” will contain a “narrative-driven adventure set in a brand-new location with new enemy types and bosses.”

Those who do not own the Season Pass of The Surge 2 can purchase the Public Enemy Weapons Pack on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for USD$4.99, or the full Season Pass for USD$19.99 to “get the exclusive BORAX-I Quantum weapon immediately guarantee hours of limb-chopping content.”

The Surge 2 is an action-RPG played from a third-person perspective. Players use melee weapons to fight their enemies, and combat includes targeting foes’ individual limbs to dismember them in order to receive loot for stronger weapons and gear. The game launched on September 24, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
