Developer CD Projekt RED recently announced that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition will launch in Q4 2022. The Next-gen versions were previously planned to release in Q2 2022 but got delayed to “evaluate the scope of work to be done” while CD Projekt RED’s in-house development team took over work on the ports. The new versions will feature “a range of visual and technical improvements—including ray tracing and faster loading times—across the base game, both expansions and extra content.” Additionally, the ports will have updated box art and include a new DLC inspired by Netflix’s The Witcher. Those who have already purchased the game will also receive the new versions as a free upgrade.
