THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games have today unveiled the power of Force Fury – the Force hollow form of the third horsemen of the Apocalypse, Fury.
Fury’s form evolves throughout the game and with it, her powers and weaponry. Her so called Hollows are powers bestowed upon her by the Hollow Lord to help her lead the Horsemen and defeat the Seven Deadly Sins. Once she unlocked them, Fury can switch between her four Hollows at will, to adapt to her enemies and environment.
About the Game:
Players return to an apocalyptic planet Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash action-adventure where players take on the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Charred Council calls upon FURY to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore the balance between good and evil and prove that she is the fiercest of the FOUR HORSEMEN. FURY is a mage, her form evolving throughout gameplay and with it, her powers and weaponry. The expansive Darksiders III game world is presented as an open-ended, living, free-form planet Earth, dilapidated by war and decay, and overrun by nature. FURY will traverse back and forth between environments, battling other-worldly creatures and unlocking puzzles while advancing the Darksiders story.
Darksiders III is scheduled to release worldwide on November 27, 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Fury’s primary weapon is a whip, which seems a touch cliché, as does the fact that she fulfils that other stereotype of female video game characters by being ‘fast but weak’. Fury’s sardonic personality is quite fun though and with the game focusing more heavily on combat it does draw obvious comparisons with Bayonetta, which is ironic because PlatinumGames were at one time interested in acquiring the Darksiders franchise. But in reality the combat doesn’t feel like Bayonetta or any of its peers and instead it’s obvious that Gunfire Games have been playing a lot of Dark Souls in-between this sequel and the last. There are a lot more moves and combos than a FromSoftware game, and Darksiders III doesn’t seem especially difficult, but the combat is surprisingly slow-paced and defence-orientated, with smaller numbers of more powerful enemies to contend with.
