Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain announces the upcoming release of Timothy vs the Aliens in America exclusively for PlayStation 4. The title was previously released in Europe and finally now it comes to America with a launch discount of 30% for PlayStation Plus users and 15% for all users.
Timothy vs the Aliens is an open-world action platformer where a tough and proud gangster named Timothy will lead the resistance against an invasion of terrifying aliens that have come to devour everything they will find on their way.
The game is set in a black and white world that contrasts with the colorful aliens, and combines platforms, puzzles and a lot of action. In a large city full of characters, stories and missions, Timothy will fight against tricky enemies using powerful weapons and a special power he keeps up his sleeve, and driving the vehicles he will find on his way. Timothy’s world will take the player to the classic gangster movies with a touch of black humor and eccentricity.
The origin of Timothy vs the Aliens
The development studio Wild Sphere was founded in 2014 and the concept ofTimothy vs the Aliens started to take shape at the end of 2015. In December 2016 the project won one of the awards given by SIE Spain in the third edition of PlayStation Awards, and soon after, in February 2017, Wild Sphere started the development of Timothy vs the Aliens in the Valencian branch for PlayStation Talents Games Camp. This is a program created by SIE Spain to support the Spanish video game industry, and the facilities in Valencia are provided for free to the selected developers by the business accelerator Lanzadera. This has allowed Wild Sphere to develop Timothy vs the Aliens in a timeframe of 10 months with a team of 4 people, 2 musicians and the mentorship provided by PlayStation Talents and Lanzadera.
