Respawn Entertainment and EA have debuted a new video in which you get to meet the Titans, including Scorch, Ion, Legion, Northstar, Tone and Ronin.
Each of these are not only visually different and also have their own unique abilities, perks, and downsides in the field of battle.
The single player campaign in Titanfall 2 will let fans step out onto the Frontier as a Militia rifleman with aspirations of becoming an elite Pilot. Stranded behind enemy lines and facing overwhelming odds, players must team up with a veteran Titan to uphold a mission they were never meant to carry out.
Titanfall 2 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28.
Check out the Trailer:
“Legion is a minigun-wielding titan “designed to focus on defense and control,” Respawn says. Legion’s gun, the Predator Cannon, can switch between close-range rounds that knock back enemies and long-range rounds that damage anything in their path. Its gun can also deploy a protective shield and lock onto enemies, once its Smart Core is powered up.
Ronin is the first Titanfall 2 titan that Respawn revealed; it’s the sword-bearing mech teased in the game’s first trailer. Respawn describes Ronin as a hit-and-run specialist. It can inflict quick damage, but it’s a nimble, fragile machine. Ronin can also slow its enemies by unleashing Arc Wave, an electric wave attack, then close the distance between them with its Phase Dash.
Northstar brings flight and precision skills to the mix, Respawn says. It can deploy traps to lockdown enemies, launch cluster missiles and perform a vertical takeoff and landing maneuver.
Ion will be familiar to players who took part in Titanfall 2’s tech test. The titan comes with a shoulder-mounted laser, a defensive Vortex Shield and a massive chest-fired Laser Core blast.
Scorch, which was also playable in the tech test, brings heat to the battlefield with a thermite-fueled Firewall attack, a thermal shield and Flame Core, a massive wave of fire.
Finally, there’s Tone. The titan can lock onto enemies and fire Tracker Rockets, detect enemies in an are via Sonar Lock, and ultimately unleash a salvo of rockets that can be guided mid-flight.”
