Tons of New Footage Shown Off for Final Fantasy VII Remake During E3

Square Enix pleased a full house of audience members and countless fans watching as they pulled back the curtain on the Final Fantasy VII Remake during their E3 conference. There was tons of gameplay footage shown off giving fans a taste of the action oriented combat mechanics and impressive visuals.

Check out all of the gameplay footage (courtesy of GameSpot) from E3 below including a lengthier trailer from last night’s release date reveal:

The new gameplay has an in-depth breakdown of various re-worked mechanics in the battle system, a brief look at the materia and bravery features, and ultra slick character swapping mid-battle. The gameplay shows a fierce battle against the Scorpion Sentinel showing off the incredible potential for the remake.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced for a March 3, 2020 release date last night exclusively for the PS4.
