Activision has recently revealed what fans can expect to listen as they take a nostalgic trip in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 -2 Remaster, as it was expected some tracks are missing, but the publisher did an immense work in order to bring back the major part off the classic soundtrack of the first two game back to its remaster glory.
Activision released an 18-track playlist on Spotify, that reveals what fans can expect to listen when the game launches on September 4, 2020.
The missing songs of the soundtrack are listed below, as Eurogamer reports, Vilified by Evenrude, and Screamer by Speedealer are featured in the game, but they do not appear on the Spotify playlist because the songs are not in the platform.
Games like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Crazy Taxi are good examples of how to capture an era, a feeling, Grand Theft Auto Vice City also did an astonishing job to capture the 80ties and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas almost had the same impact capturing the 90ties. As all the mentioned games are retro, fans cherish the feeling they had when playing the game, music triggers memories and feelings. Games like Crazy Taxi are the best example on the importance of the original soundtrack for a remaster or a port. Crazy Taxi saw releases on different systems, even mobile devices and as the game did not featured it’s original soundtrack the game went unnoticed.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1-2 Remaster where announced at Summer Game Fest, fans suspected that Activision would return to the franchise as a THPS game was being rumored for months, professional skaters claimed that there will be a game in 2020, which might had been a teasing from Activision, hype kept building as the music streamed in Summer Game Fest before the beginning of the stream was from the first two games.
