During their E3 showcase, Xbox proved that Game Pass is the best deal in entertainment as it announced a lot of new additions to the service coming before the end of the year.
A mix of third-party and Xbox exclusives made up the 27 titles announced which would be available to play on either Xbox, PC, or xCloud by the end of 2021.
Back 4 Blood
Fans of the Left 4 Dead franchise can rejoice as more information regarding a spiritual successor to the iconic zombie co-op franchise was revealed.Whether you are teaming up with friends to complete the narrative campaign or taking to multiplayer to take on the role of human or Ridden, you and your squad will always have zombies to kill.This is a huge announcement as the hype surrounding this game has only grown since the beta occurred earlier this year.
At the Xbox conference, it was revealed that Back 4 Blood will be released on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass on October 12.
Yakuza Like a Dragon
Yakuza Like a Dragon first released alongside the new generation of consoles late last year.To commemorate the release of the newest game in the Yakuza franchise, the entire catalog of Yakuza games were made available to play on Game Pass.In Like a Dragon, players take on the role of a low-ranking yakuza grunt who was betrayed by someone close to him. It is up to you to pick up your iconic bat and seek your vengeance. If you weren’t able to pick the game up when it first released, your patience has paid off because Yakuza Like a Dragon is available to play on Xbox Game Pass today.
Twelve Minutes
The star-studded indie game developed by Luis Antonio finally has a release date.Catch yourself in a time loop as you attempt to put the pieces together of a murder where your wife has been accused of being the culprit.Take out your notepad and jot down every detail you see as you replay the event until you are able to solve the crime.Twelve Minutes comes to Xbox, PC, and Game Pass on August 19.
Hades
One of the best games of 2020 is making its way to the Xbox ecosystem.Take on the role of Zagreus, as you attempt to escape the underworld to reach Mount Olympus to get away from your father, Hades.Explore the four different biomes and run through the randomized rooms while you hack and slash all enemies in your path. Build up your character in order to take down several Gods along your journey to reach Mount Olympus.Hades will be coming to Xbox and Xbox Game Pass on August 13.
Among Us
One of the games that brought people together last year is finally making its way to consoles.Rally up 14 of your friends in the brand new 15 player lobby as you work together to complete assignments and communicate to figure out which of your friends is the dreaded imposter. Whether your friends are playing on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, or mobile, you all can play together since Among Us features cross-platform play.Among Us will be coming to Xbox and Xbox Game Pass “soon.”
Psychonauts 2
Originally launched on Fig back in 2016, Psychonauts 2 finally has a release date!Take on the role of Razputin as he is a part of the psychic espionage organization known as the Psychonauts. When the group leaders are in peril, it is up to you to use your psychic powers to identify the mole in the organization and end their evil plan.Psychonauts 2 will be coming to Xbox, PC, PlayStation, and Game Pass on August 25.
The Ascent
If you decide to play with a group of friends or tackle the cyberpunk world by yourself, The Ascent is a twin-stick shooter where you have a top-down view of yourself and any of your friends.When a powerful megacorporation collapses, it’s up to you, an enslaved worker, to solve the mystery of the corporations’ demise and prevent factions from taking over different sections of this world.The Ascent is coming to Xbox Series Consoles, Xbox One, PC, and, of course, Game Pass on July 29.
Shredders
Inspired by the Amped series on the original Xbox, Shredders takes you to the slopes and gives you the power to glide down them and perform your favorite snowboarding moves.Build up speed down the mountain and jump off a lift to get serious airtime so you can spin and perform acrobatic moves in the sky. The developers at FoamPunch, I-Illusions, and Let it Roll have created their passion project that will look and play great on the Xbox Series Consoles.There isn’t an official date set yet, but the trailer stated that the developers have a good feeling about a December release.
Microsoft Flight Simulator
Put on your aviators and take to the sky because Microsoft Flight Simulator is making its way to the Xbox consoles.Fly to and from your favorite airports and take in the beautiful sights from around the world as the pilot of your own plane. Alongside the already fantastic flight simulator, there will be a free expansion tied to the release of Top Gun: Maverick that allows players to take the role of a U.S. Navy Top Gun.All future updates will be free for Flight Simulator whether they are world updates, themed DLCs, or even more aircraft choices.Microsoft Flight Simulator lands on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass on July 27, with the Top Gun: Maverick DLC coming on November 19.
Forza Horizon 5
