On May 29th, Ubisoft announced their E3 lineup will include exclusive content for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2, and For Honor, along with additional game updates and Celebrity Showdown. Additionally we can be assured that there will be at least one or two more things we can see from them that has remained a secret. With that being said, here are our top 5 Realistic Predictions 5 Wishlist for Ubistoft E3 2019.
Just Dance is one of the more innovative games of Ubisoft’s usual lineup that simply gets people dancing with the year’s newest hits. With the game’s unique visuals and simple sensoring for various dance moves. It’s a game so easy that basically anybody can play due to the game’s sensoring controls. Play with a Kinect, PlayStation move, or even Nintendo Switch Controllers. Just Dance is one of the more popular dancing games around.
Ubisoft just never passes up a new Just Dance every year and there’s simply no reason for them not to. Especially since E3 is one of the times of year that they like to make an announcement for the trending Dance game.
Where’s Rayman? Rayman has been one of Ubisoft’s oldest mascots for the longest time. Our limbless hero hasn’t got much spotlight. The last Time Rayman got the console spotlight was in 2013 when their brilliant platformer, Rayman Legends came out on both consoles and PC. This was a sequel to one of their earlier 2011 titles, Rayman Origins in which Rayman finally got a new adventure since Raving Rabbids. Well now is probably the best time to announce a new Rayman Series as his current game, Rayman Adventures is a mobile game that can be described as Rayman Legends lite. Overall Rayman could use a some more love and maybe even a reboot.
Trials Rising recently released with lackluster reviews as the grind to get gear is a bit too much. Either way Trials has been a hallmark for Ubisoft since Trial Evolution which released in 2012 with the help of RedLynx who developed the original Trials series. That being said, some new Trials Rising content should be coming out soon in order to address some player grievances while announcing other things.
Of course these other things could be another Trials Spinoff, not a full game, just a spinoff. If Trials Blood Dragon, a Far Cry Blood Dragon spinoff, could get a game in 2016 then maybe a new spinoff could be released in 2020.
Watch Dogs 3 is pretty much expected to be at E3 2019 this year. That’s right, information about the hack-friendly game has been brought up recently through some odd leaks. Amazon recently listed Watch Dogs Legion to be a game on their UK website and gave out some very interesting details. “Watch_Dogs Legion is set in a near-future , dystopian version of London. It’s a post-Brexit world in which society, politics, and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes.”
So in this case the leaks about the game taking place in London seem true. They also mention that the game will allow you to play as anyone anywhere, which sounds odd but makes sense according to the game’s title. Whatever the case, Ubisoft will have to make a new announcement sometime soon to confirm any of these leaks.
Roller Champions is one of the more recently-leaked games that Ubisoft seems to be working on. It looks to be a roller derby-themed multiplayer game that will center around putting your ball in another player’s goal. Think of it like Rocket League except you have to loop around the stage in order to score. Visually the game looks to have character customization with a cartoony art style similar to Fortnite.
Additional features for the game look to be quick play matches, custom matches, and tournament modes. As the game may be new arena sports game, it should be a change of pace for Rocket League fans.
Prince of Persia is a long but not forgotten game made by Ubisoft where you play as a parkour-savvy man with the powers to turn back time. Ubisoft first created the Sands of Time game in 2005 which based off the previous Prince of Persia platformer adventure games made in the late 90s. After the release of the first game, Ubisoft made two more games in 2004 and 2005, The Warrior Within and The Two Thrones.
Then after that a new Prince of Persia game released around 1-2 ending in 2010 with Forgotten Sands being the last Prince of Persia game to date. Now it’s been almost 10 years and Ubisoft seems to have lost interest in the IP. Well 10 years to revive a dead game seems like enough time to announce a new entry to the series, even a reboot would be acceptable at this point.
Ubisoft and South Park Digital Studios did a good job with their current RPG gaming franchise, South Park. Based off the original series by Trey Parker and Matt Sone, you play as a new kid that goes along with the typical adventures that kids have in the town of South Park. Whether you roleplay as knights to defeat the Nazi Zombie Army, or becoming a superhero to stop the Mexican Armada, players were assured that they are genuinely having fun within the South Park Universe.
After the release of South Park: the Fractured But Whole, there has been no news from South Park Digital Studios or Ubisoft for that matter. Well if Trey Parker and Matt Stone aren’t too busy working on a new Season of South Park, then maybe there’s a chance we’ll see the adventures of Douchebag continue.
The tales of the legendary super spy who specializes in espionage will probably continue this E3 2019. Splinter Blacklist was the last time we’ve seen Sam Fisher and maybe we’ll see him again. It would be strange to just leave out such an important franchise in gaming out from the limelight. 2019 could use some more games with tactical sneaking that gives players an actual choice on how to handle situations.
Well according to Ubisoft’s Creative Dirctor, Julian Gerighty on May 14, 2019, he’s supposedly working on a new Splinter Cell Game along with the crew as he hangs out with Dan Hay, the Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal, and Creative Director at Ubisoft, Roman Oriola. While this could’ve been a joke between friends, there could be a small possibility that he is working on a new Splinter Cell.
Far Cry is one of the more ever-changing games from Ubisoft’s titles. The series revolves around a typically normal person going on a ridiculous adventure as the games go on. Over the past years we’ve faced a psychopathic pirate army on a tropical island in Far Cry 3, Blood Dragons in Far Cry Blood Dragon, a dangerous militia in Far Cry 4, dangerous cavemen in Far Cry Primal, and a cult and some demons in Far Cry 5 and New Dawn.
Since New Dawn recently came out and people feel that it’s not a full Far Cry game, there may be a chance that a completely new Far Cry game is in development with possibly an even newer story. Where will Far Cry take us next?
It seems like a new Assassin’s Creed won’t be appearing in this E3 according to Ubisoft. In fact it would seem that another Assassin’s Creed won’t be made until 2020 since Odyssey is still seeing more DLC and expansions. Besides that, there has been some interesting rumors that lead to the game’s setting.
According to Division 2, there have been posters of someone holding a mysterious orb while wearing a red and white outfit similar to those seen in the Assassin’s Creed series. Even more news is that the game might be named “Ragnarok” according to ResetEra.
This would make sense as the Assassin’s Creed Series is seeing more melee-based action combat this time around that is a nice change from single-hit attacks in the previous games. Even if Assassin’s Creed won’t be coming out this year, there’s no reason for Ubisoft to not tease a new title in the series at E3.
