From tomorrow, Monday April 27, 2020 until May 1, 2020, Sega will giveaway Total War: Shogun 2, the special offer represents Sega’s initiative to keep players safe and entertained. The game will only be offered via Steam.

The past few weeks have presented unimaginable challenges for many of us, but the remarkable collective effort being made by the global community to overcome this moment of adversity has been truly inspirational.

With this in mind, we want to continue to encourage you all to stay home and save lives by extending a gift to everyone to help make this difficult situation a little bit easier.

Everyone at Creative Assembly is now working from home, and we hope that this will help everyone with that stay home mission – #StayHomeSaveLives.

The special offer includes selected historical Total War: Shogun 2, Total War: Three Kingdoms and Rome: Total War main games and DLC packs are not included in the offer. Sega confirmed that on May 1, 2020 Total War: Shogun 2 will be 75% off for those who missed the chance to get the game for free.

Total War: Shogun 2, takes players in the middle of the 16th Century in Feudal Japan. The country, once ruled by a unified government, is now split into many warring clans. Players take on the role of one Daimyo, the clan leader, and will use military engagements, economics and diplomacy to achieve the ultimate goal, re-unite Japan under his supreme command and become the new Shogun – the undisputed ruler of a pacified nation.

Total War: Shogun 2 features enhanced full 3D battles via land and sea, which made a name for the series, as well as the tactical campaign map that many refer to as the heart and soul of Total War. Featuring a solid AI system inspired by the scriptures that influenced Japanese warfare, the millennia old Chinese “Art of War”, the Creative Assembly brings the wisdom of Master Sun Tsu to the game.
