Toukiden 2 ‘Knives’ Weapon Trailer

Toukiden 2 ‘Knives’ Weapon Trailer

Koei Tecmo has released the latest weapon trailer for Toukiden 2. The new trailer showcases the Knives weapon set, which is a less damaging option but offers more in the way of agility.

The knives have the floor in this clip and combat with the weapon looks smooth and satisfying, almost like something out of Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden. Toukiden 2 is currently in development for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita and is due out in Japan next month.

I’m liking so far what Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have shown of Toukiden 2,the game reminds me a lot of Monster Hunter (especially the newer entries) and how players fight and maneuver around enemies.

Check out the Trailer:

“In Toukiden 2, players will be able to explore an open world, where they will see the culture of the mononofu(called “slayers” in the English release of the original game) mixed with a medieval Japanese aesthetic. The game’s combat system allows players to sever an enemy oni’s limbs. The oni originate from another world that is slowly creeping into the world of the mononofu. Areas of the world will be covered with a miasma to limit player movement, but the world will slowly open up as the game progresses.”
