Toys For Bob has reportedly Partnered with Microsoft For Its next game

According to a recent report from Windows Central, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot developer Toys for Bob has officially partnered with Microsoft to create their next game. This follows a recent announcement from the developer that it is now an independent studio but was looking to “explore a possible partnership” with Microsoft. According to the report, Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty was asked what Toys for Bob’s current state was in a recent Xbox townhall meeting. He responded by saying an agreement has been made between the two companies to create the developer’s next game, and that said game will “be similar to games Toys for Bob has made in the past”. In a recent announcement, Toys for Bob announced that it is “in the early days of developing its new game” and is “ways away” from making any announcements about the game.

Details for the developer’s latest game, Crash Team Rumble:

Crash Team Rumble is an all-new four-versus-four, team-based online multiplayer video game set in Crash Bandicoot’s vibrant and zany universe.

In Crash Team Rumble, fans can play as Crash, Dingodile, and a host of other friends and frenemies, each of which has their own distinct power, personality, and playstyle, as they compete across wild and varied arenas in four-versus-four team-based online multiplayer action. To lead their squad to victory, players will slide, smash, bump and bash as a team to be the “fur-st” to bank the most Wumpa fruit in their drop-off zone, while simultaneously defending the opponent team’s drop zone. Featuring cross-platform play, Crash Team Rumble will feature tons of strategic gameplay elements that will be sure to turn the tide of scoring in hilarious ways.

Get ready to dash, jump, slide, and bounce into an all-new way to Crash.

Crash Team Rumble™ takes Crash Bandicoot™ in a brand new direction, placing the series’ iconic heroes and villains into a 4v4 team-based competition. Players will duke it out across diverse and dangerous maps as both teams race to be the first team to collect and bank enough Wumpa fruit to claim victory! Rise as a hero, or feed your inner villain across a wild and N.Sane cast of characters, each with their own unique skills and abilities. Teamwork is integral to every match, as players must work together to battle the opposing team, defend their own Wumpa Bank, and capture key points around the map to boost their score.

There’s more to come for Crash Team Rumble™, with additional heroes, modes, maps, rewards, and more coming soon!
