TurnOn Coming to Xbox One, PC and Mac on June 1st

Brainy Studio is proud to announce that TurnOn got an official release date on June 1st. In this electric sidescroller puzzle-platformer without platforms they tried to tell what can happen if the electricity suddenly dissapears. Electrical appliances will stop working, there would be no lights on the streets, no Internet, mobile communications, and people will take to the street to see what was going on. Can you conceive it?!

Watch the announcement trailer of TurnOn:

Brainy Studio is a Russian entertainment and independent video game development studio, founded by 4 developers: Evgenii Romin, Ilia Antonov, Anton Baranov and Dmitri Ogorodnikov. The studio is best known for developing the game TurnOn, with prototype of which won Imagine Cup 2014 in “Games” category held by Microsoft and other partners. The creation of TurnOn was inspired by the global movement Earth Hour, which is held by WWF.

Being a small indie team-of-4, we tried to make TurnOn as good as it was possible, and we hope you’ll appreciate our debut game on Xbox One, PC and Mac. The game will be available on 19 languages with ESRB:10 and PEGI:3 age ratings.

TurnOn is an incredibly colorful and detailed puzzle platformer without platforms. The plot revolves around a small spark named Turnon, an alien space object, which flew through the atmosphere and hit in the city’s power station. There it came alive from the electric shock and became a rational being. As a result of the accident the city remains without electricity, and now Turnon, looks like a fireball with a pretty face, has to return the light back into the homes of citizens.
Professor Brain, a scientist from the power station, found Turnon at the time of the accident and decided to help him. Using minibus equipped with electric generator, they move around the city from one district to another and restore the power supply.

  • Enjoy the setting! Be surprised how the world depends on electricity and what can happen if it suddenly disappears. Solve puzzles and figure out how to turn on the lights in every home, as well as fight unexpected enemies!
  • Try platformer without platforms! The main character moves through the electrical wires. The mix of exploration and music levels makes the gameplay very immersive.
  • Feel the visual storytelling! Tired of all those dialogs in your video games? Never mind, in TurnOn everything is purely visual, and the entire story is told through what you see (and
    sometimes what you don’t).
