With players well-underway with Apex Legends’ second season providing fans with new exciting features, it seems another major item has been uncovered via a leaked audio file. We’ve seen plenty of leaks for the battle royale game already in its short existence, and they often turn out to be the real thing.
The latest leak comes from well-known Apex Legends leaker Shrugtal as they detailed an interesting audio log form the game. The voice in the game appears to be the medic character Lifeline as she informs teammates that she’s “deploying a portable respawn beacon”.

This leaked audio data signifies that players could be expecting a portal respawn beacon to make its way into the game sometime in the future. As for the now, the standard respawn beacons – which allow players to bring back defeated teammates – can only be found at certain locations on the map. This new assumed item appears to allows players to find and carry a portable beacon to allow faster resurrections of fallen teammates.
While this is still in the rumor stage of details, it seems as though the audio file itself is enough to at least make the assumption that Respawn Entertainment has toyed with the idea. The leak is coming from a reputable enough source that we should be anticipating something of this nature to be announced for the game later down the line. That is, of course, this new potential feature was nothing more than an idea and the devs moved on after testing.
Stay tuned for more updates on what’s coming to Apex Legends in future seasons as they’re announced.
