A new battle royale game, Vampire: The Masquerade Battle Royale, is scheduled to launch next year, developed by Sharkmob. This is an offshoot of the highly anticipated sequel to 2004’s Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. When first revealed, the trailer boasted a detailed world dripping with aesthetic. Though the trailer is only 32 seconds, it does a lot to establish the world. Set in Prague, the battle royale will pit players against each other as they vie for control in a tense fight.
“Experience the next thrilling evolution of Battle Royale multiplayer action games set in the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade universe where vampire sects are at war across the streets and rooftops of Prague,” reads the description released with the trailer. “Choose your playstyle, go solo or together, battling rivals and the hostile Entity who’s hellbent on exterminating all vampires. Use your supernatural powers, weapons and blood to become stronger in order to hunt, fight and survive the night.”This is Sharkmob’s first large title since its formation in 2017. While this move was unexpected (no one could have guessed it was making a battle royale for a game whose most recent iteration was in 2004), fans are excited to see what powers they will be able to use to eviscerate their enemies. Vampire: the Masquerade’s universe is known for variety, with the sequel on the horizon promising more flexibility in how exactly the Thinblood (player-character) starts growing in power. In the upcoming sequel, players will be able to choose from six vampiric powers (turning to a bat, telekinesis, mist shroud, seeing through walls, inhuman strength, charm, mesmerize, and entrance) with a host of other abilities, clans to pledge allegiance to, and ways of earning experience that will be a welcome addition to the series. Whether this will be integrated in the upcoming battle royale remains to be seen, with the trailer being the only information given at the this time. Vampire: The Masquerade Battle Royale is set to release in the latter half of 2021.Gaming Instincts is dedicated to bringing its readers all the latest and greatest news, reviews, guides, and updates for all their favorite titles and more.
