Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Introduces Ventrue Clan

Today Paradox Interactive gives details for one of the many vampiric clans in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 by introducing  Clan Ventrue. They released a trailer showcasing the Clan’s power in society as they deal with troublemakers swiftly with a cold hand.

Clan Ventrue are the corporate leaders in the human world that seek to shape and protect the vampire society. This way they can take control of the vampire and human worlds in broad daylight.

“The blood of rulers has flown in the veins of the Ventrue since time immemorial – be they high priests, emperors, investment bankers, or chairmen of the board. No surprise then that lineage and loyalty are held in high esteem.”

Like most clans, these vampires’ personality and demeanor reflect in their Disciplines in addition to the their Thinblood powers. With the power to dominate and defend themselves in tough situations, they will be able to outlast their enemies.

Dominate is “their signature Discipline that allows them to Dominate the actions and memories of others.” With Mesmerize, you can place one NPC in a brief hypnotic trance. With person affected will be oblivious to the world around them which would make it easy to sneak past, or get a few blows in. In addition you can command Mesmerized NPC’s move, remove obstacles, or attack others.

Next is the Fortitude Discipline which allows you to be more resilient than others. As one of the tankiest classes in the game, you’ll be able to outlast your enemies with your impenetrable defenses.

Absorb is an ability that allows vampires to take a defensive stance that allows them to deflect attacks while healing themselves.

Lastly is your Personal Armor which allows vampires to harden their skin. The Discipline can be upgraded to become impervious to attacks while causing enemies to stagger.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 will be available March 2020.
